Augusta Housing Authority
The Augusta Housing Authority is developing a 40-unit senior residential community at the intersection of Wrightsboro Road, James Brown Boulevard and Twiggs Street. With completion planned for fall 2014, this 55+ community will feature single family homes, duplexes and a neighborhood park in the heart of Twiggs Circle. Future phases planned by AHA will bring another 80 homes to Twiggs Circle.
APD Urban Planning & Management
APD Urban Planning & Management provides project management, construction management, property acquisition, urban planning, and property owner representative services to the Augusta Housing Department for the Laney Walker and Bethlehem neighborhoods. APD will continue these services as part of the Twiggs Circle development team to ensure another successful LWB redevelopment area.
Laney Walker Development Corporation
In partnership with Builders of Hope, Augusta's Laney Walker Development Corporation serves as the primary developer of single family homes in Twiggs Circle, with future plans to restore several notable historic homes. Formed in 1989, this non-profit organization is focused on providing new affordable housing to the residents of the Laney Walker/Bethlehem revitalization area. Since its incorporation, the LWDC has built 30+ homes, renovated 8+ homes and developed two shopping centers.
Builders of Hope
Builders of Hope is an established and innovative leader in affordable housing and sustainable redevelopment. A central part of this non-profit developer's mission is to positively impact the development of livable, walkable, sustainable cities and to create stable communities so families can live where they work.
